It was founded by Isaya Mollel, born and bred a Maasai, who believes that every journey should be a bridge - continual growth not only for yourself but by helping others. The company’s aim is to complete the ethical circle of sustainability: - Tanzania is the Maasai’s homeland, but progress and climate change have endangered their livelihoods. Simultaneously thousands of tourists spend vast amounts of money revelling in the beauty of the wilderness and animal kingdom in the Maasai lands. By directly supporting local Maasai communities through bespoke safaris, we guarantee that your adventure funds sustainable development and cultural preservation, by helping to provide schooling, better health, projects for sustainable development and cultural preservation. Individuality
Alioto safaris provides holidays to solo travellers, to couples, families or groups. They can be as active or as restful as you wish, each one is individual and will be created by you and Isaya - so share your wildest holiday dreams/activities and create the perfect holiday. Whether it be exploring the great plains of Serengeti, climbing Kilimanjaro, peacefully relishing the white sands of Zanzibar beach, cycling, horse riding, trekking, or our special programme of cultural immersion - perhaps time spent in a school, helping with the crops or learning about the traditional Maasai cultural activities - beadwork, local medicine, spear throwing, daily life and customs. Our speciality is off the beaten track itineraries, where you see the wildlife but have minimal footprint.
