DAY 1 – Arrival in Tanzania → Osiligi Lai

Arrival & Introduction to Maasai Culture

Arrive in Tanzania and meet your private safari guide, who will welcome you at the airport. Instead of immediately heading toward the busy safari circuit, your journey begins with an off-the-beaten-path experience at Osiligi Lai, allowing you to experience a more authentic side of northern Tanzania.

Travel toward the Osiligi Lai area, passing through rural landscapes and Maasai communities. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy an introduction to the local environment.

Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity to participate in a cultural experience, interact with local community members and learn about traditional Maasai life.

DAY 2 – Osiligi Lai → Enduimet Wildlife Management Area

Maasai Culture & Remote Wilderness

​

After breakfast, continue your journey toward the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area (WMA), a beautiful community-managed wildlife area located near the western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The area offers a different safari experience from the national parks. Enduimet is known for its wildlife, open plains, Maasai communities and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Enjoy a game drive or nature experience in the area, with opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and other wildlife.

The evening is spent in the peaceful surroundings of the WMA, away from the busier tourist routes.

DAY 3 – Enduimet WMA → Tarangire National Park

Community Experience & Elephant Country
 

After breakfast, depart Enduimet and continue toward Tarangire National Park.

Optional Maasai School Visit

On the way to Tarangire, we recommend including a visit to your Maasai school/community project.

This visit can be structured as a meaningful cultural and community experience rather than a simple tourist stop. Guests can meet teachers and students, learn about the school’s daily activities and understand some of the challenges faced by rural schools.

If the visit coincides with one of your community-support activities, guests may also see school uniforms, educational materials or other supplies being provided through your community program.

This creates a direct connection between tourism and positive community impact.

After the school visit, continue toward Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees and seasonal wildlife concentrations around the Tarangire River.

DAY 4 – Tarangire → Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Tarangire Morning Safari → Ngorongoro Highlands
 

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading into Tarangire for a morning game drive.

The early hours are ideal for wildlife activity, and your guide will explore different areas of the park looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, predators and a variety of bird species.

After the game drive, leave Tarangire and travel toward the Ngorongoro Highlands.

The landscape changes dramatically as you climb toward the highlands, passing through farming areas and local villages.

Arrive at your lodge/camp in the afternoon and enjoy the cooler highland environment.

DAY 5 – Ngorongoro → Ndutu Area

Ngorongoro Crater → Ndutu Migration Area
 

Rise early for breakfast before descending into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a crater game drive.

The crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations, offering the possibility of seeing lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest and many other species within the crater ecosystem.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before ascending from the crater.

Continue toward the Ndutu area, entering the southern Serengeti ecosystem.

If traveling during the calving season, Ndutu becomes one of the most exciting areas of the safari. Large concentrations of wildebeest gather here, creating opportunities to observe newborn animals and the predators that follow the herds.

Arrive at camp in the late afternoon and enjoy the sunset over the plains.

DAY 6 – Ndutu → Central Serengeti

Migration Country → Central Serengeti
 

Enjoy an early morning game drive around Ndutu.

The morning provides excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and observing the activity of the plains. Your guide will follow wildlife movements rather than simply following a fixed route.

After the morning safari, continue north toward Central Serengeti.

The journey itself becomes a game drive as the landscape changes from the southern plains into the central Serengeti.

Along the way, look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes and large herds of wildebeest and zebra.

Arrive at your Central Serengeti accommodation in the afternoon and relax before an optional short evening game drive, depending on park regulations and timing.

DAY 7 – Central Serengeti → Western Serengeti

Full-Day Wilderness Safari
 

After breakfast, begin the journey toward Western Serengeti.

This section of the safari is intentionally designed to take you away from the busiest safari routes and into a more remote part of the Serengeti ecosystem.

Enjoy a full-day game drive while exploring the western plains, woodlands and riverine areas.

The Western Serengeti is particularly interesting for travelers looking for a quieter safari atmosphere, with opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, lions and numerous plains animals.

Depending on the season and wildlife movements, your guide will adapt the route to maximize opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing toward your camp.

Overnight: Western Serengeti
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

DAY 8 – Western Serengeti → Departure / Arusha

Final Safari → Journey Home
 

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Western Serengeti for one final opportunity to experience the wilderness.

Return to camp for breakfast before beginning your onward journey.

Depending on your departure arrangements, you may:

• Drive toward Arusha for your onward flight;

• Connect with a domestic flight from the Serengeti;

• Extend the journey to Zanzibar; or

• Add an additional night in Arusha.

Your safari concludes with memories of Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes and, importantly, the people and communities who live alongside these extraordinary ecosystems.
